Sea Glass Setting Workshop

10am – 4pm

you can find some wonderful sea glass on the beaches around the country, bottles and glass that have been thrown into the sea become tumbled by the waves and this gradually smooths the glass to create a naturally distinctive piece.  

In this workshop, we will help you create your very own unique jewellery piece by learning how to measure, cut and create a bezel setting to fit sea glass in silver. 

Using traditional jewellery techniques, you will learn:

• Cutting
• Texturing
• Forming
• A stone setting technique called Bezel setting
• Soldering
• Filing
• Finishing

 What’s Included?

All materials are included to make a fabulous piece of sea glass jewellery on the day.

We have a large selection of sea glass you can choose from, but you are more than welcome to bring your own sea glass. We can talk together to check if it’s suitable to use.

If you would prefer to work on a gemstone, we have a small selection in stock.

Refreshments 

Tea and coffee are provided and there are always cakes close to hand!

For lunch please bring your own packed lunch or there are a variety of shops nearby.

Terms and Conditions

Your booking fee secures your place – we cannot reserve places without payment. 

If we have to cancel for any reason you will be offered the option to switch to another class or receive a full refund. A minimum of 6 people is needed for the workshop to run.

If you are unable to attend a course for any reason we are unable to offer a refund. However, if you give more than seven days notice to cancel and we can fill your space on the course we may be able to offer you an alternative date. 

The minimum age to attend is sixteen. All 16/17 year olds must be accompanied by a paying adult
